Ya, I submitted passports on 23rd through VFS, Chandigarh. I reached there at around 1.30 pm and I was given token for 3.45 pm and when I entered VFS at the given time, it was crowded. As I observed that huge number of student visa applicants were present there, so I think in these months, generally waiting time is more for whole day.

My AoR is of 31st March, 2018. Probably passes the medical exams within a week or so.
Got a RPRF request on 23rd April, 2018. Next day paid it.

However, looking at my background message it seems it is at IP1. Below are my statuses:

Application status We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of eligibility We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents We are reviewing the additional documents you provided.
Interview You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.
Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Is this normal? How does a PPR request looks like? I mean does PPR request shows up in MyCIC account or it comes through email?

So from here, typically an application goes to NA2 or (mostly now-a-days) IP2 (we are processing your background check...) and in the next step an email with subject ‘ready for visa’ is sent to your registered email Id. At this stage, usually there is no change in the status on the MyCIC page.

Hi Everyone, I see some of you have recieved your PPR. Congratulations guys!

Also, some moved to IP2 as per the tracker. My AOR is Mar 15 2018 and I'm still in IP1. Any idea if FSW - O are given preference over PNP-O?

AOR: 27 MARCH
MEP AND IP1: APRIL 6
IP2: APRIL 11
PPR: MAY 24
STREAM: CEC

I just got PPR this morning. Here is timeline. I'm not sure about the exact dates because my consultant has access to my account not me. Though I can give a rough idea

AOR-27th March 2018
CEC inland
Medical passed - around 10 -12 April
Status BG- we are processing your background checks (checked on 24th April, been this until I get PPR)
