Your sponsor must be available for a telephone interview at the time indicated above; or, your sponsor
may choose to attend your interview in person. Please ensure that you bring with you a phone number at
which your sponsor can be contacted easily on the day of your interview.
Please bring the following original documents:
 Your valid passport and all previous passports held by you
 Updated Generic Application Form (IMM 008)
 Updated Schedule A Background / Declaration (IMM 5669)
o IMPORTANT: Questions 8 and 12 of your Schedule A MUST indicate all activities
and addresses SINCE AGE 18, i.e. FROM JANUARY 1988 TO PRESENT – DO
NOT provide only for the past ten years. DO NOT LEAVE ANY GAPS
BETWEEN DATES.
 Updated Additional Family Information Form (IMM 5406)
 Updated Police Clearance Certificate from your current country of residence.
 Your original FBI police certificate
 Proof of communication: telephone records, Facebook messages, Magic Jack call records, Skype
chat/call records, emails, etc – note that phone cards are not accepted.
 Proof of any travel by your sponsor to visit you or you to visit your sponsor; or, proof of any
travel to meet in a third location
 Additional photos of you and your sponsor together at various occasions, including time spent
with friends and family members
 Proof of financial support, if applicable

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL REQUESTED DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE
RECEPTIONIST WHEN YOU CHECK IN FOR THE INTERVIEW. DOCUMENTS NOT
SUBMITTED PRIOR TO THE INTERVIEW MAY NOT BE CONSIDERED AT THE
INTERVIEW.

If you are unable to attend the interview on the date and time indicated, you must inform us well in
advance, providing a substantive reason as to why you are unable to attend. If you do not inform us in
advance and do not attend, we will have to assume that you are no longer interested in immigrating to
Canada and your application will be refused.

"Please be advised that we have concluded processing the file and wish to convoke applicant and daughter for final review and possible visa issuance September 30, 2015, at 8:30 am. Documents required:
-Passport
-2 Correct visa photos."

Does anyone know if both my wife and daughter need to go, or if just my wife is enough?

I'm at work right now, and my vision is blurry with tears of joy.

What fantastic news! I am sure you must be very overcome with emotion.

I would think your wife would be able to bring your daughters passport and pictures. Some people just courier them in so I don't see it as an issue.

I hope the Embassy of Manila would also issue visas before the end of this month. A lot of February applicants like me are still waiting.

Does that mean they get an interview? Or is this some kind of normal procedure with Cuban VO?

Interview is different/separate. I don't actually know what this part entails, but basically they show up with their passport and the visa is issued.

Some people are saying that for those who applied earlier in the year it means they are close to making a decision...however, for those who applied in May, June onwards, it seems that this status is being assigned to them as soon as their application reaches the outbound VO.

In my opinion, in process just means they have your application, might have opened it or at least logged it...and at some point will begin (or have begun) the various background checks...which can take some time (hence the posted processing times)....

If you want to find out what stage the processing is in, you could order GCMS / CAIPS notes...some say not to bother, some order them within a couple of months of their application being transferred.

2) File received: March 5th
3) AOR: April 15th
4) SA: May 5th
5) File transferred: May 19th

After in process, wait for the passport request from your visa office. If everything is fine with your application, no additional documents needed then expect a Decision Made and eventually the voh..
