I got this email on 23 April 2014:

This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2014/03/13.

But haven't heard anything since...I got the csq on may 8 and emailed it to Sydney on May 26 in the early morning and haven't heard back. On the following day at 3:00 pm, I attached a copy of the csq and forwarded it to Sydney, but haven't heard back.

Ecas shows SA and for PR app shows application received and medical results received, which were done upfront.

I also just noticed that the address they have on Ecas for her is Australia but for me it's Canada, even though she's living here with me...is that fine? Should it be changed ?

What's next?

That's your AOR2 from Sydney I'd suggest.
Now, you wait.
Seriously, that's all you can do now. It could be three months, it could be four, it could be seven. But this is the boat we're all in :D
Congrats on getting AOR2.

Thanks.

I ordered GCMS notes and the notes say:
19 may 2014: med valid to 18dec2014. RCMP initiated AFP PC on file RPRF paid KN: please review

Criminality: in progress.
Security: not started.

Hold long does criminality and security take?

The GCMS notes note my wife and I as single for marital status, which is not true - we are married. Should I correct this error - I would definitely not write down anywhere that I'm single nor my wife. Married life is completely different to singlehood.

I don't want to be blunt mate, but seriously: chill out.
You filed your app in March, you have AOR2, you know Sydney are working on it. Their posted processing time is 11 months, most people have got it in three, but that's not guaranteed. You ought not fret until at least four months are passed.
You asking for notes, following up etc can only hurt you, it won't help. They've probably listed you as "single" as your pre-marriage status - ie, divorced, single, married (yes some people try to marry when they're still technically married). Either way, it won't be an issue - if it was, they'd have asked you for more information.
Chill out bud, and settle in for the wait. You have at least one more month before you should expect any news, probably more like six weeks.

When did you order your notes? And is May 19 the day you ordered them or the day you received them? I would be more interested in the comments the officer writes about your relationship than the marital status, because that determines whether or not you get an interview.

Good idea!

Oh, you mean part two in process. :(

I called cic and they are telling me my date is now May 8, when i submitted new updated form, not March 20. At this rate I can expect my AOR in August the guy said.

I told my father to hang up. We did a skype call on his speaker phone, from Thailand.

Oct.20, 2014!
Question, now that I have a temporary UCI number, I want to try emailing cic that new updated form. Because they still don't have it on file and only are working on files received early April. I remember there was two of you who emailed additional forms after submitting.

Rhcohen and atrivera perhaps?

Can you help me as to what method you chose to email ? There are several options listed, I don't want to resend same email twice.

thanks chief - we initially submitted our application in november, but it was returned incomplete.
after finally receiving it back in february and it was lodged in march....time is important cuz we're expecting a child...and healthcare expenses are out of pocket...but true i should take it easy...cheers

Australia has free health care for their citizens, you can just have a child there to save on expenses.

@Koifish, I'm really really sorry about your situation bro. I can't believe just one little document can mess up your wait time so much :(

I applied on March 31, 2014 and got the aponsor approval from Mississauga on May 15, 2014.

Does it make sense to send log of factime logs to London office? What the process to send them?

Thanks in advance!

Hi guys I checked the timeline for manila visa office and its approximately 8 to 9 months before the PR is issued does it mean from the time your application is filed to Mississauga or from the time you are approved as a sponsor and your file is sent to the visa office in Manila? Also have been married for more than 2 years and presently living together with my wife for a year now will our file move faster because we are living together? we do have some red flags like 8 years age difference and short courtship before marriage 4 months,

if your getting the 8 to 9 months from the CIC website it is usually on top of the sponsor.

And no your application will not move faster because your married and living together.

Manila is currently at 9 to 10 month from SA wait before most hear anything. Usually most apps get PPR but some go straight to in process with PPR at the very late stages.
All of the wait is in que (waiting for other apps before you to be processed)
Length of Marriage has no effect on speed of processing however CIC will have fewer questions about validity of relationship.
8 year age difference will be no big deal, my wife and I have a 18 year age gap no questions were asked.
