@ heatspine: thank you po. yes, i've thought about all those already. kaya confused ako coz i'm torn. may cousin ako whom i never met yet and way older sya sakin, married to a canadian guy and has a teenage daughter. yun lang ang advantage ko if i go to NS. i don't want to stay too long with them kasi mahirap na pag mag start ang conflict which happends most likely. gusto ko nalang i-avoid yun. with regards to job marketing, as what i've researched online, i have more probability of getting a job in Ontario, but marami ring immigrants who will be competing for jobs too. and my concern also is i have no one to run to if i go there, but i did register as RN sa Ontario. di ko pa alam kung when ko ma-receive ang assessment decision nila. sabi 3 months daw. so most probably May ko pa matanggap and I'm planning to leave on May.

if tama ka canimmigrant with regards to having to have experience in the province where i worked in, does that apply with me not being registered or not given an eligibility to sit CRNE pa? kasi alam ko an applicant is able to work as GRADUATE NURSE once eligible na sya mag CRNE until he/she takes the exam (pass or fail).

how about i stay in N.S. until i get registered in Ontario? yung nga din... gano ba kadami ang trabaho sa N.S.? it's a very small province. i really don't mind whether mas marami ang immigrants or locals. what i think matters most is the probably of me finding a job and me being able to support myself faster.

see my dilemma?

sana kung nasa ontario lang ang cousin ko, siguro di na ako ma-confuse. long term plan ko kasi talaga is to be registered and work as a nurse, and settle in Ontario.

Initially, hindi ka talaga makakapagwork bilang nurse kahit gaano kadami ang experience mo sa pinas. Maraming nagsasabi na CNA muna ang work nila habang naghihintay ng pagkakataon na makapagexam. Yung iba naman, kahit na anong trabaho pinapatulan basta lang may dumadating na sweldo (ganoon din malamang ang gagawin ko para hindi maubos ang baon na pera noh).

Malamang kung wala kang kamag-anak sa Ontario, mapipilitan ka talaga mag-rent muna. Ganoon talaga, nakakatakot magsimula pero mas nakakatakot kung palaging "out" ang pera at walang "in". Although magandang idea ang magstay ka muna sa pinsan mo, kung titingnan mo ang mapa ng Ontario at NS, hindi magkalapit ang dalawang iyon. Actually kahit malapit iyon sa isa't-isa, halos hindi kayo magkikita at magtatawagan dahil sobrang busy ng mga iyon (unless siyempre kung retired na siya). At least ang kagandahan ng sitwasyon mo ay may long-term goal ka. Palagi mo lang titingnan iyon lalo na sa mga araw na nakakapagod magtrabaho tapos giginawin ka pa sa lamig!

hi baby_gurl. ok lang mag-rant ... mahirap naman kasi talaga ang mga decision na ganyan. with regards to work, i'm not in the field of nursing so hindi ko rin talaga alam how its done. i guess you've attended the CIIP na right? ito siguro ang ma-advise ko, if you're not familiar with the demographics of the nursing field ... perhaps the CIIP staff can help you with that. They have the statistics on which province offers the best chance for employment. Mayroon akong ganun kaso for my field and nde sa nursing kaya try to reach out to them. Check their site rin kasi may mga stats rin dun which might help you.

with regards to living with relatives, medyo averse ako dyan. Remember, may mga sarili rin silang pamilya and lalo na pag medyo nde kayo close, chances are medyo nde maganda ang turn out. I've known friends who have experienced this kaya on my part, I'm not taking that route. Mag-settle na lang ako on my own and parang extra na lang to know na may relatives pala ako dun - who can help out - on need.

kaya importante rin na may bala talaga bago sumugod sa giyera. kailangan may extra money talaga otherwise maiiyak na lang tayo lalo we are still on the adjustment stage. try to secure cash that will last you for months - paniguro lang ba. hope this helps.

hi bb girl, mahirap nga situation mo, are you alone? meaning no dependents to accompany you? From what I've read, you need to gain Canadian experience in order for you to get your dream job. As in your case, definitely you can't work as a nurse because you still have to be licensed. Siguro you can contemplate on accepting any decent job when you get there to earn money and at the same time gain the Canadian experience, this is what my husband and I are planning to do when we get to Canada.

another option is applying for RPN instead... easier daw plus the pay is good as well... ang maganda sa mga registered professions like RNs is once canada registers you, hindi na masyado mahirap maghanap ng trabaho... you can opt to volunteer for a month after you get licensed just so you can get a character reference... then you're good to go na... yan ang sabi ng isang friend ko na nasa vancouver... pero sa toronto, sabi ng isang friend ko naman don, pwede ka na agad i hire basta talaga ang important is may license ka... i hope this helps you...

oh wow thanks. didn't expect ganito kadami mag respond.

yup i already attended CIIP. It was very informative. i understand i have to be licensed first or at least already given an eligibility to sit CRNE before ako pwede mag work in the nursing profession. and i am considering applying for RPN instead especially if they will require me to study for a year or more. tagal na nun. mauubos lang pera ko sa pag-aaral and and sweldo ko dun lang din pupunta. this reminds me that i have to call CNO regarding that: kung pwede bang i-transfer ang application ko from RN to RPN after assessment. to think, almost 3 times higher ang fee nga RN assessment kesa RPN/LPN.

with regards to living with relatives, that's why i'm hesitant to move to N.S. kahit temporary lang. i really don't want to have any problems with relatives esp when we don't know each other. the fact na canadian pa ang husband nya, they wouldn't entirely understand the concept of us living with each other.. especially for a while.

i'm willing to get an apt kahit room lang i-rent ko while i try to look for a job. that is the purpose of our settlement funds di ba? i have already set it in mind na i would have to work with whatever job i can get... ma-food server ba kaya, cashier, sa coffee shop, baka nga pati dishwasher... whatever to support myself and not ending up in the streets. the question here that no one can answer is, kelan kaya tayo makakahanap ng trabaho so that we won't have to worry about running out of money especially with my case na wala akong kamag-anak na nasa Ontario.

inspite all these, i'm not panicking kahit lam kong nauubosan na ako ng time. May is coming fast. but i also know God is in control of everything.

Sa mga seniors,pwede mag ask sa inyong opinion.Pwde po ba or allowed po ba,magpamedical ang lahat ng pamilya tapus to follow na lng yon passport ng new member ng Family.Kc d2 sa davao,28 working days na,yon releasing ng passport.Just in case,mabilis yon processing sa immigration.Tapus,makareceived kami ng MR.

Anyway,I am still waiting for my 2nd AOR,at kung papalarin,mabilis din ang MR.As of now,hindi ko na inform yon CEM,kc i am waiting for 2nd AOR pa.Thanks po!

Wala ka pa namang MR, malamang dumating na yung passport na hinihintay mo pag nagka MR na kayo. kasi 20-30 days ang paghihintay for 2nd AOR and 7-14 days naman ang MR. You have enough days pa, so just wait

yup i already attended CIIP. It was very informative. i understand i have to be licensed first or at least already given an eligibility to sit CRNE before ako pwede mag work in the nursing profession. and i am considering applying for RPN instead especially if they will require me to study for a year or more. tagal na nun. mauubos lang pera ko sa pag-aaral and and sweldo ko dun lang din pupunta. this reminds me that i have to call CNO regarding that: kung pwede bang i-transfer ang application ko from RN to RPN after assessment. to think, almost 3 times higher ang fee nga RN assessment kesa RPN/LPN.

with regards to living with relatives, that's why i'm hesitant to move to N.S. kahit temporary lang. i really don't want to have any problems with relatives esp when we don't know each other. the fact na canadian pa ang husband nya, they wouldn't entirely understand the concept of us living with each other.. especially for a while.

i'm willing to get an apt kahit room lang i-rent ko while i try to look for a job. that is the purpose of our settlement funds di ba? i have already set it in mind na i would have to work with whatever job i can get... ma-food server ba kaya, cashier, sa coffee shop, baka nga pati dishwasher... whatever to support myself and not ending up in the streets. the question here that no one can answer is, kelan kaya tayo makakahanap ng trabaho so that we won't have to worry about running out of money especially with my case na wala akong kamag-anak na nasa Ontario.

inspite all these, i'm not panicking kahit lam kong nauubosan na ako ng time. May is coming fast. but i also know God is in control of everything.

It's easy to get a job if you havr the connections. My nurse is in Toronto, her relative got her a job in a syringe factory, she had leave at once because the job was waiting for her. It only took 1 around 3-5 days after her arrival, at ayon nag wowork na siya. She still is still working in the factory and another part time job since Oct 2010. So It pays if you know of someone who can help you find a job.
