i already shared in this thread that i received ppr last aug 4 but our agency advised us to update my passport since it was still in my maiden name...i got married last year and wasnt able to update my passport up to now..is it really necessary that i will update my passport? i am just worried about the timeframe since we are only given 45 days to submit to them the passport..

No need na siguro. Iyun naman kase ang nasa records ng CEM. Yung nasa passport talaga ang susundin ng CEM. Ok na hindi mo palitan. Ganun din sa asawa ko, maiden name ang gamit nya. Sabi ng Visa Officer na nag-interview sa amin, ok lang na hindi nya papalitan yung passport nya. Kaso hanggang sa Canada, maiden name pa din ang magagamit kase iyun ang nakalagay sa passport. I hope this helps.

Kapag lumagpas daw kase ng timeline na binigay, it means hindi na kayo interesado. Yun ang magiging thinking ng CEM. Pero gagawa naman kayo kamo ng letter to tell the CEM ang gagawin. Its ok na siguro yun. hehe!

yes the document no. below the date of issue/expiry (T1234567890)

ako i did not update na. i started my application as PA ng single, kahet i got married, i just sent our marriage contract. i think un ang important. pero passport ko still in my maiden name. wala namang problem sa CEM. our visas were issued pa din. my plan is when we land sa Canada, dun ko na lang ako magpa amend ng changes sa name ko for my PR card. hope that helps.
