by the way anyone aware when they will start the christmas holiday and for how long ?

Yes I do.

Christmas Holidays, normally two weeks with limited opening hours for those that continue to work on the days that they open. Chances are that little work will be done, just opening mail and dealing with emergencies for Canadian citizens. I once worked in the British Embassy in Kuwait, that was our routine over the festive season...

Two weeks??? In the UK??
Xmas holiday is just on 25 & 26( Boxing Day ) dec other than some one take his holiday in the end of dec.
