I have receiver PER on November 11, 2014 (July 16 applicant). My passport will expire in March 2015. I am expecting medical request by Jan 11, 2014. I may renew the passport before i get the MR.

My quesries are:

1. Should i apply now for passport renewal or after MR?
2. Do i need to inform CIC / VO or to both?
3. If i do need to inform both, form of communication should be post / email / both?
4. Will require addresses (postal/email/both) too pls? if i do need to inform them

Has always and will appreciate your support.

Firstly I doubt if you could receive MR by 11th January, as I received my PER on 22nd September and still no news from LVO.
1. Yes you must apply for PP renewal
2. you need to update LVO about it
3. Email is enough

Thanx for your response. I expected this time after witnessing the time trends for FSW - 2014. it appears on the forums that aprox 4 months are taken for PER (which is also true in my case), another 45 to 60 days (for medical request and fee) and another aprox 1 to two months for rest of PPR and visa. So it takes around 6 to 8 months for complete process. This is true when all things happen smoothly. it seems too fast as compared to old FSW streams.

Thanx for your response. I expected two months from my PER date, which is average time shown under FSW 2014 spreadsheet. None the less 4 days are left for your 2 months period. i hope you get the MR in next coming 4 days.

Any advice whether to pay the RPR fee online or through dd?

Right of Permanent Residence Fee – CAD 490 **see details on our website www.cic.gc.ca on how to make this payment. Please email a copy of the receipt to us, if you choose to pay the fee online. If you are able to, we recommend you pay the fee by this method**

I am not sure whether they are encouraging to pay the fee online or by any other method. Does LVO accept RPR fee online?

Today, I received another email from CIC London.

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

We are now ready to issue your permanent residence visas. Please find a letter attached with full instructions on how to submit the required documentation.

We look forward to receiving the documents and passports within 30 days of the date of this email.

So, I believe this is PPR2 now. In an attachment, they are asking for:

i) original passports
ii) 2x passport sized photos with white background
iii) Updated Information Chart.

I just have 2 urgent Questions:

1 - For Goods to Follow List - Is list enough or do I have to take pictures of all items as well?

2- For Driving in Canada - Do I need to get International Driving License as well or UAE Driving License will be enough (I am doing a short landing for 2 months).

My fsw application received at cio on 5th Nov 2014.. Now my funds are lying idle in my account and as a finance graduate i want to earn some profit on it..so can i invest my amount in stocks or mutual funds or i have to keep the money intact in my account?? what if LVO ask for me about updated account statement later when i got MR?? at that time can i send them mutual fund statement? will they accept it? I m getting mix response from some senior members...plz guide what to do?
