Thanks so much. My appointment was in Lahore at 8AM before, but I changed it to 12PM (Which is easier for me). So we reached there at 11.15 and the security told us that we are way too early :-\. Come back at around 11.50. So we waited in the car till 11.50 and than came back and the guard this let us in. The guy at the desk took our passports and confirmed for the appointment. Viewed Medical docs & Passport copy and assigned us numbers. We went in the waiting area where it was marked "Canadian Registration". A guy called our numbers and took photos with digital cam [for e-medicals]. Than called Principal applicant [me] to help fill all the forms. He asked general questions, like which category I have applied for, address, mobile etc etc. He than provided me two copies of x-ray, 1 for me & 1 for the wife. I had to fill in details for the name & passport number and had to tick if my wife is pregnant or not. After 20 mins, all forms and formalities were done and he asked me to pay fee which is PKR 6720 / adult. After payment, he asked us to go to X-Ray room upstairs. We waited only 5 mins when a doctor in radiology called my wife first (female doctors for ladies, and male doctors for the gents) and after that a gent doctor called me for an x-ray. We were done with in it 5 mins.

After that, we went downstairs and waited in the lounge for blood and urine samples. A nurse called us in and asked general questions if we were admitted for anything before in the hospital, any medical history etc. My wife is Insulin dependant Diabetic so we told her about it, she than further asked questions and added two more tests and asked me to pay another PKR 1300 for it. Anyway, after that, she asked to step up on weighing scale, and took weights & heights for both of us, than Blood Pressure, pulse, vision test etc. Than she took us to get our blood samples and provided box for urine. It was all done in about 15 mins.

After that, we went to see a Panel Physician (again female ladies for ladies & male docs for gents). He asked me general questions if I was hospitalized, or smoke. Any other issues etc.. After that he asked me to remove my shirt and wait for him on the stool. He first inspected throat etc, and than my knees with rubber hammer, after that he asked me to lie down, and than he inspected my chest, stomach etc via stethoscope and got over with it in 5 mins. He said everything is perfect. If there're any issues with medicals, they'll call us in 2 days, else they'll upload on the 3rd Working day. Everything was done with in 1 hrs 30 mins (though they'll tell you it'll take 3 hours on entrance)
Thanks for all the details...I gone through with my knee surgery years back .... got injured during football... should I tell them about this knee surgery or should I ignore it???

He means you / we should be patient, forget about the process when long wait is expected. Get busy with other plans in the meantime

They are 2 different things bro. We all have that desire to enter Canada and for that reason, we have made our applications and waiting patiently even with the delay from LVO. U can get busy with other things but that is not to say the desire to enter Canada should die. U cannot wait patiently and at the same time allow that desire to die. In fact, that desire to enter Canada makes u wait patiently until u hear from LVO. And if that desire is dead?

Hello All

Congratulations to all those who received medical after interviews. I was busy with some other tasks so forgot to update that I've also received medical and RPRF request on Monday, 14 April.

I've following question regarding RPRF:

I'm not sure about how to pay my RPRF. On cic website they have mentioned that either we can pay via Bank Draft or we can also pay using the credit card.

There was no instruction about where to send the bank draft of credit card details in email also. Do we have to fill some form and then have to sent it?? Mostly I want to pay using the credit card like I did for visa fees.

Please help me with this doubt. I apologize if same question was already asked.

Hi , i made a bank draft should hopefully get it soon , but see below

Fees for Permanent Resident Applications:

The fees for permanent residence application must be paid using a Bank Draft / Bank Cheque in Canadian dollars, made payable to “Receiver General for Canada”. Cash will not be accepted.

Payment by bank draft, bank cheque or postal order to the visa office in London

The bank draft, bank cheque or postal order should be made payable to the: Receiver General for Canada

Write your name and address on the back of the bank draft.

If your application is received at this office without the processing fee attached, it will be returned to you. In some countries, banks provide the service of forwarding your bank draft / bank cheque directly to this office. Please ensure that this is not done and that your fee accompanies your application.

Important: Bank drafts / bank cheques have limited validity. Ensure that your bank draft / bank cheque is not older than two months when it reaches this office.

This office does not accept:
•Cash
•Uncertified personal cheques
•Company cheques
•British pound drafts drawn on foreign banks
•Canadian postal orders
•Euro-cheques
•Credit or debit cards
•Canadian dollar drafts where the “clearing bank” is not in Canada (check with your bank if you are unsure)
