LMIA (GTS) - Work Permit Forms

Hi all,

I have the LMIA (Global Talent Stream) approved letter from my employer and I need to submit for a Work Permit Visa (I am outside of Canada).
I have some questions:

1) I've worked with the employer for about 2 years (based on a contract as a freelancer). Is this ok to work for an employer before LMIA approval?
Can I tell the government that my current job is working with the employer that supports my LMIA?

2) There are different forms related to my current and previous employers that are quite the same. What is the difference between these forms?
  • Employment Reference Letter
  • Employment Contract
  • Employment Records
These are the descriptions of each one. Except the Contract, the other 2 are quite the same.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, you shouldn't hide any information in your application. There is nothing wrong with you working with them as a freelancer/contractor in the past.

Just be honest, you got nothing to hide.
