Jan. 23, 2014 when I arrived HK to work as dh.
Jan. 22, 2015 i submit my papers to CVAC and that day nag secure na rn ako ng police clearance.
Now I'm planning to give a 1 month notice this Feb. 16. Ok lng Po ba Un? If ever my problem sa papers ko pde nman cguro ayusin through email nlng Hndi kailangan pumunta ng personal.

Need your advise po....thank you

You have received pre-departure orientation from CIC meaning your visa is approved. It is not compulsary but it is better to attend for some ideas about Canada. Anyway it's free so why not attend. Well some questions of officer in the port of entry are, how did you get your job? Are you related to your employer? What is your LMO number? What is your job in Canada? Just be confident to answer so they will not interogate you of many questions. Goodluck

Better stay in HK and wait your VISA. I'm just a little bit worried of your lenght of stay in HK, just one day before your one year. CIC is very strict with their rules and qualifications. But anyway Goodluck.

As far as I know, you need to get an appointment to go there but it is a difficult one. Just wait for the release of your visa. Why will you apply for tourist?

You can go home but you need to pass POLO again and do the PDOS which takes a lot of money. Why not learn driving in HK while waiting for the visa?

What does POLO means? Can you give me an idea on how much to spend if I go home with my visa?

I can't do driving lesson here because I've only had 1 day off in a month.

POLO one of the government agencies who handle all OFWs. Better go to phil consulate in HK to have clarification. Based on what I heard thru my friends it will cost 10t to 20t or more than that. I'm not sure but better inquire in the consulate your future situation.

I got an email from the cic that my application is approved and later an email that i may ask the vac for the release of my docs and passport.I went to vac and told me to come back tomorrow because my status is still on process.i showed them the email stating the vac can release the docs and passport this afternoon.I told them I really need to report to the immigration because I overstayed.They consider and asked to come back at 3:30pm.The immigration permitted me to stay here in Hongkong for two weeks having a tourist visa.God is good all the time..I hope you can receive your positive visas and be able see you all soon in Canada.thank you guys..

May I ask if your status on the "Track Your Application" VAC page changed to a different status when you received your email? I am sure the nanny we are looking to hire is checking her email, but just wondering if the online status changes when the email comes out.

We are hoping our nanny gets good news as it seems like those that applied in the July 2014 timeframe are starting to get their approvals.
