Learn french for easy study visa

I passed my 12th in 2016 and then i gave my ielts in march 2017 and till then i've been doing job in hotel.
Now i applied for hospitality course for may intake in 2018 and i am free.
May i join french classes now and will they help me to add more positive points in getting student visa?

Sorry but what do you mean by "i am free"

French maybe helpful for PR points but for student visa I guess not much weight-age until
you apply for a french only hospitality course for which you won't gain enough french in
this short duration. Also, learning any new language especially french for Canada is
always beneficial.
