Landing question.

Hello all!
I am wondering if I should have with me proof of founds during the landing.
I will likely have with me Copr, passport, current visa.

I am CEC inland no LMIA, and I wasn't asked about pof during my PR process.

Also, I have read that someone was asked to give 2 extra pictures at landing appointment (!). In my guide letter from Ottawa there is no info about that. And no info about pof i need to show.

Any experience? Please share. I'll appreciate.

With CEC's I've read that some of them take along their letter of employment and some payslips or recent T4 as confirmation of funds but don't think it's absolutely necessary. I think we may take them along just to be safe, you never know what type of officer you'll get at landing! Not sure about the photograph situation though, as you said, it's not mentioned in the letter.

As Scottygirl advised above, you can bring all important documents just in case they may request, but in my case, I am CEC applicant inland too, the officer asked me only COPR, passport and all work permit, that's all.

I am leaving Canada tonight for trip to Cuba and will be coming back next week and I will confirm my PR at international airport in Totonto. Hope everything will go smooth

i dint have much issues while landing , i landed at the rainbow bridge ( niagara falls ) i went in @ 10:15 PM and came out by midnight . there was just one immigration officer who had to deal with 10 files. i did take my proof of funds and they dont look into that much , i had bank statements from canada and india and the immgration office spent about 10 seconds looking into all thew pages and dint even ask anything to me . ,in fact the balance on my chequing account was just 2 dollars . i had the rest on my savings account .


passport and the COPR is all you MUST carry . to be safe u can have the proof of funds and the employment letter . Make sure you dont photocopy any of the canada provided government ids ( like license , health card etc) just a heads up lol

1. You must land in Canada before the expiry date, which appears on your Canada Immigration Visa. Usually, the expiry date is one year from the time medical examinations were completed.

2/3. No, not necessary but keep in mind, the primary applicant always have to land first then the accompany follow later or they can land together at the same time.
