I am planning to go to Niagara to complete my landing procedure this weekend.
I don't know much and had a few question

Can I do landing on weekend?

What is the procedure like? Do I require any other additional docs other than my passport and CORP?

How long does the entire procedure take? What’s the best time to complete the landing procedure fastest considering am planning to go this Saturday?

Any additional advice is welcomed

Thanks

I completed landing process at Niagara (Rainbow Bridge on April 8th 2017 ). I took the pedestrian walk way ( 50 cents per person ) and went to the US border , got administrative refusal slip and took it to CBSA.
I went there around 8:30 am and there was no rush. The officers were very friendly and the entire process took around an hour. Take your CoPR , passport and work permit with you.

Did you had to show any proof of funds, declare goods, etc? Also did they asked you for an ETA/travel visa?

Thanks!

Hey,

When you say go to the US border & get administrative refusal slip, what does this mean, i have US Visitor visa of 10 years, should i still get the administrative refusal slip from them and return back to CBSA ?
Also will getting a administrative refusal slip affect my future travels to USA ?

Nevermind i found this thread, it seems i need to get a I-94 sticker: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/my-landing-experience-rainbow-bridge-niagara-falls-t143309.0.html

I have a valid US visitor visa ( B1/B2) and I don't think they checked that. They asked my purpose of visit and I told them that I want to exit and re enter Canada to complete landing process. And i was given a slip to do flagpole. Once you tell them the purpose of your visit , it is up to the officers to make the decision. ( http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/use-us-visitor-visa-or-administrative-refusal-for-landing-t342389.0.html)
At the CBSA I was only asked to provide CoPR , passport. I also had a valid work permit at that time and I gave it to the officer. I was asked couple of questions like where do i live , what do i do , whether or not I had criminal charges against me etc. They never asked for any other docs or proof funds.

Why in the holy hell would you do that and get that mark against your record? Surely it would have been easier just to take a short shopping trip to NYC or Buffalo, especially if you already had a valid B visa.

When I flagpoled at Buffalo a few years ago I took a weekend trip to NYC and then activated a Canadian permit on the way back. It's probably slightly easier for me since I don't need a visa to enter the US but I'm sure that's the preferred method for anybody who can do it.

Get what marked against my record? Kindly get your facts right.
In the administrative refusal slip given it to me it was clearly written " flag pole" . The fact that it won't affect future US visa applications has been clarified numerous times by CBP.

I was under the impression that any further applications for admission would be judged by the individual processing them.

So just to be clear, in future on application/immigration forms etc, if there is a field that asks 'have you ever been refused entry to a country' then are you still legally correct in answering 'no'? If so then yes, this is my mistake.

Thanks for the detailed information. It helps to get a mental picture of what to expect. Hopefully I will do it in the next few weeks.
