Landing Interview ....

Hey everyone,


My landing interview is just around the corner, and I am curious as to what to expect when my wife and I go. It is inland at the vancouver office.

For those who have gone thru this recently inland, we would greatly appreciate your input.
Just a little nervous thats all! Don't know what to expect.

I landed last May 2012,at Vancouver too.

they asked us to sit in the designated number,checked the details at our COPR then watch the video and the speaker told us about settling to Canada.then they checked the picture one by one and when the immigration officer called us one by one.only asked me if i have other dependant kids aside from the one in my application,if i have criminal records and if the details in my copr are true.
then she signed the copr and welcome me as permanent resident and stamped my passport..

How long did you wait between your AIP to your landing out of curiousity?

Also, was the whole process for PR landing long or fairly quick. The pictures that they asked for are the ones you would of sent in with your application right( we sent in, all the fees/pics/etc all together).

I'm also waiting finalization of my PR inland in Vancouver. I just want to say, I have heard the same thing from others. The landing interview is simply to verify your information (ex. name, address, etc) and to welcome you into the country. It's not like the interview before you receive AIP (luckily I didn't get one). So no need to worry! I cannot wait for mine. The waiting part is annoying, but on the bright side, it's just a finalization and not the initial process!

By the way, when did you get the letter/call for the landing interview? How long after you submitted medicals? Mine were received May of this year and they requested them right after I received AIP.

I think 10 months(it was longer because I have dependant outside Canada that's why it' was longer)
It's only one hour or less,depend on the seat number,I was the first one who called for interview that's why I finished earlier..
they're going to ask for new picture,there's no picture attached to the COPR.

mine was different situation,after my daughter passed her requirements,medical and passport here for processing too then less than 3 months I got my PR..
