Hello Everybody!

Thanks God finally the process is complete. I landed at Toronto Pearson Airport on Friday Feb 06, 2009. The landing process went very smooth. The immigration officer asked me "Did you bring Alcohol?" I said No.
How much funds do you have and told him the amount and he took my words. That's it. He did not even looked at my Bank letter. He stamped my Passport and handed over to Me. I told him myself that I will stay in Canada for only 3 days and then will go back to USA to wind up things. He said Ok.

I headed towards custom's officer and gave him my list of "goods to be following" including my Car. He gave me the receipt and told me to bring it with me when i will permanently move to Canada. The whole process Immigration + Customs took only 15 minutes.

Here is My time line:
1) Application Received: June 12, 2007
2) Medical Done: 07 Aug, 2008
3) Passport Requested: 20 Jan, 2009
4) Visa Stamped: 27 Jan, 2009
5) Landed at Toronto Airport: Feb 06, 2009

This forum is a great help. Thank you so much everybody!

Let me know if I can answer any question.

Good luck everybody.

useful post, many thanks for sharing with us

but anyone reading this should not be too complacent about the need to show proof of funds
