Landing clarification

Hi friends
I have completed my medicals and waiting for PR request.
Once I get the passport request I am planning to visit US on a weekend and complete landing process.

Guys...I don't have US Visa and I have to apply.
Let me know how long will it take to get US Visa.
Is there any way to speed up the process.

You don't really have to enter the US to complete your landing. When you get to the US
border, tell the officer you're there to complete your landing or flagpoling, whatever. He'll write
you a slip of paper and he'll then send you back to the Canadian border where you can complete your landing.

Correct me if I'm wrong here guys.

I'd rather just flagpole and do the landing asap.

Once you became PR of Canada it would be much easier to get you a US Visa...correct me if I'm wrong.

Not necessarily "easier", but certain factors like steady employment or full-time student status(with fees paid) are helpful in satisfying the satisfying the officer that you will leave the US at the end of your stay. Most permanent residents get a 5 year or 10 year US visa.

I'd rather just flagpole and do the landing asap.

Else, you can do flagpoling at the US border. You realy do not require a US visa to do landing. You can do a search in this forum on how to do flagpoling and I am sure you wil find lot of answers..
