Landing as PR after working on a TWP - SIN Number?

Hi all,

Just wondering if there's a deadline to getting a new PR SIN number after landing? (If you already have one with a '9' prefix?)

Afterwards, who does it need to be updated with? RAMQ (In Quebec), the bank, employer? Anyone else?

There is no deadline per say, however you should update to a permanent SIN ASAP. The only ones that should be made aware would be an employer. I am unsure why RAMQ would even NEED your SIN but who am I to argue the 'logic' used in Quebec *shrugs*

If you have RRSP and TFSA, you shall notify bank as well since RRSP and TFSA are tied with your SIN.
