She looked down and saw her husband was holding a battery-operated leisure device... A vibrator! Soft, wonderful and larger than a real one. She went completely ballistic. 'You impotent bastard,' She screamed at him, 'How could you be lying to me all of these years? You better explain yourself!'

The husband looks her straight in the eyes and says calmly:

Hello everyone, Believe me...even though I have not been on here since I signed up, I've been thinking about you, reading page after page..
guess who's married!! I did it!! I can't really say I was getting cold feet, but weeks before, i guess the nerves started to kick in ...and the whole commitment thing freaked me out!

But I am happily married... and now...it's time for the paperwork!! Oh God Help me! Is there anyone in Calgary that would like to link up!!?? lunch /dinner? it's on me, I'm not lazy..I can do this but, I have a super stressful job, and by the end of the day, I'm so bagged I can barely keep my eyes open.
I'm not looking for sympathy, because you are all so inspiring, but should I go with an immigration consultant??

sorry I have to say congratulations to the new mom's and to the new spouces that have landed!! awesome!! wishing happiness and love always!!

Oh and about the name suki? i dont know what i was thinking, but i guess i'll live with it! i would much rather prefer Jammin...but it's alright! so I guess we change my status from getting married to paperwork in process?? yipeeee =)

suki... wow congrats on the wedding.. I am not in calgary but if you have any questions you can send me a message and I would be glad to help you out... I can't be present in body but I am willing to skype too... I had a lawyer and I thought it was a total waste of money... The application is very easy and straight forward... If I could go back I would never get a lawyer.. I think that this forum has lots of offer because there is a bunch of knowledgeable members on here...

lady posh - are you still doing the happy dance? lol how many times have you pinched yourself? it's an awesome feeling isn't it? no more waiting and wondering ... your hubby IS coming home to you in a matter of weeks. The typical waiting time for pp pick up is anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks. So get those closests and dressers cleaned out and ready for hubby's clothes, he'll be here before you know it!!!

it was lady posh's day yesterday but today is lonely wife's day (I think) - hubby is picking up his PP today You'll be in the clear in no time lonely!! ;D

congrats suki on the marriage! most people here say that they did not need an immigration rep, I didn't use one and a few of the older members that did use a lawyer said it was a waste of money. It's ultimately your decision but there are a lot of people here that can help, if you have the time, reading back will also help. Smoothies Queen recently submitted her application and charlieD submitted a few months back.
