On the phone they asked him to confirm an address. Otherwise in the email they asked for his Passport/Travel Document, any additional relationship documents and receipt for the RPRF.

Rant...so I sent off the package of documents off to the hubby on Tuesday via Fedex which cost me $90. Now the package is being held by USA customs in Memphis and they can't confirm that it will reach JA in time for the interview! Are you kidding me!!! I paid almost a hundred bucks for overnight shipping and it might not get there in time. UGH! ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? Also why did they send it through the states and Memphis of all places!

Wow, I am sorry to hear. I hope they are going to refund your money. Are you able to send him the documents via email and he can print in Jamaica. I am doing that with my husband.

It's finally over...hubby got his passport back in the mail today with visa issued and COPR. One week for passport to be returned after being sent in. Thank you Lord!!

[i had a similar case, last week they held on to my package, I contacted customs which told me it can take maximum 60 days to be reviewed. I called there every day. I went to the border officers at the canada/USA border on Monday, to see if I could have any further information. They told me it would not take long. It was a part of their procedure. The following day it was released. I paid for overnight to arrive on Thursday. I got package the following Tuesday - 3 nights. The package will get to him on time. Fedex central sorting office for Canada is Memphis. USA

This truly sucks, idk when your interview is but I'm truly hoping they'll release it on time and I hope Fed Ex will give you some sort of refund for the headache.

Congrats, good news , must be a relief, you were the couple having a challenge with the PC for st.maarten if I remember correctly?For your PR section,How did you find out the passport was on its way back to the VO? These folks never tell you anything ... they took our passport October 12 haven't heard boo since...

Yes we had the issue with the PC from St. Maarten. I had sent an email to the Kingston Visa office and told them to return my husband's passport because without it he wouldn't be able to get the documents they needed. They actually sent a reply back and told him to come and get it. So once we got the PC and submitted it we got the letter saying our application has approved and they needed the passport back. My husband submitted it through the VAC in Kingston and that way we were able to track it.

Hey all Just wanted to update you!

I am over joyed and excited to share....Hubby Landed on Oct 28th accompanied by me. It was his first time flying and he enjoyed every moment. He has now started to work as well. Special thanks to this Forum for helping to keep hope alive.

He likes it so far and hasn't found it cold at all. Not wearing a coat yet. He starts his job on Monday so everything is falling into place. FINALLY! Thank you GOD

Hey Everyone i am new here my wife have filed for me and the process has been going good, i received a call to take in my passport and to do an interview, have anyone done an interview before leaving for canada and if so what was it like and why would they interview someone and not interview a next.

What are others' experiences when sending documents to Jamaica - is it better to use FedEx or is Canada Post registered mail just as good?
