Hi Everyone!!!!

I am new to this site and I am wondering if anyone would care to tell me how long they waited for Kingston to process there applications for spousal sponsorship. The process is long for me and I am very lonely. I am gonna join you guys on the site as from what I can see I am not the only one going through this situation. Can't wait to get to chat with yous within this forum. I wish everyone a wonderful day ;D

good morning, welcome lonely wife, you came to the right place!

if you check page 493 nae-nae put up the list of the timeframes..kingston is not really great with timelines..some ppl got thru in 4 months and some 23 months it all depends on every case..

is your case pretty straight forward? any kids on the application or any removal from Canada involved? I hope it is a speedy process for you! It's not fun being apart from the one you love..best of luck!!

Well, I know it's Tuesday, but I thought everyone could use a laugh.

A little boy and his grandfather are raking leaves in the yard. The little boy sees an earthworm trying to get back into its hole. He says, "Grandpa, I bet I can put that worm back in that hole." The grandfather replies, "I'll bet you five dollars you can't. It's too wiggly and limp to put back in that little hole."

The little boy runs into the house and comes back out with a can of hair spray. He sprays the worm until it is straight and stiff as a board. The boy then proceeds to put the worm back into the hole. The grandfather hands the little boy five dollars, grabs the hair spray and runs into the house.

Thirty minutes later the grandfather comes back out and hands the boy another five dollars. The little boy says, "Grandpa, you already gave me five dollars." The grandfather replies, "I know. That's from your Grandma."

Is everyone ready for Christmas??? I am such a horrible shopper lol I went to the grocery store last night and bought a ton of gift cards and I'm done! lol ok maybe a few small things now but that's nothing right? I haven't put a tree up or decorated....nobody home but me so I didn't bother. Much less mess that's for sure!!!

Great to see some new members joining to replace the heroes that have stuck with the process and are with thier loved ones. Don't lose hope as everyone will get through in due course. Hi Everyone!

So our file was transferred to Kingston Nov 2 and still no AOR. I called the toll free number within Canada and was advised that we would more then likely not get an AOR and would only be contacted if there was something missing in our file. They have no way of knowing if the file has been opened and they can't give us any information at all. We had issues with the doctor's office and wanted to ensure they received the medical. Also my hubby will be here into March so correspondence needs to be through e-mail or the canadian address. She said Jamaica is one of the busiest and the slowest so e-mail them but don't expect an answer.

Was this the case for most of you? Was the first you had heard from the visa office was the actual passport request?

Any advice is really appreciated, I know that most of you have been in the process so much longer. I really don't know how you have the patience lol.

Helpmeplease thank you so much for all the great tips and for your questions my case is very straight forward and all the information is very well organised and I provided lots of evidence to prove that the relationship is genuine. I did also hire a lawyer to help me with the process. There is no kids on the application and no removal from Canada either my husband has never visited Canada; I am the one that also travelled to Jamaica.

I am also hoping for a speedy process but I am getting the MP to send a letter as I went to the doctors and the doctors gave me a note to provide to the MP and Immigration Canada stating that I have symptoms of depression and moderate stress which could be caused by the fact that I am away from my husband. I am going to see my MP tomorrow morning at 9 for him to finalize the letter and send that out to KG. I am not sure if that could speed it up but at this point I am willing to try to do anything to get my husband here with me.
