as for ecas - I can log into it using my file number but my husband's B# does not work either....my guess is they haven't linked up the B# with my file number.

I have read on here in the past from people that have gotten thru that it wasn't updated until AFTER the visa was issued....so it doesn't seem to be much help at all.

Good morning everyone

Good to see some updates came in!

Canuck...it was a good thing I had already swallowed the mouthful of tea before I read that joke!!

Question: What do you guys think are my chances of being approved for a work permit while we work on this PR app? I am job-hunting, and actually saw a job in Ajax that would be perfect. The firm is willing to accept work permit candidates, and closing date for submission of applications is Jan 1, 2011. Hubby is also very willing to move if I can get the job, his living situation right now is not good (long story, too much family drama to get into).

I would love it if I could get a job in my field right away, hubby is really struggling right now healthwise, and cannot work. Our savings toward the fees has taken a real hit this past month I am job-hunting here in Jamaica too, because I need something better than this wuk-fi-nuttin-alibutton job I have!

Anyways, enough of me. Hope everyone has a great week, looking forward to more great updates. NEXT!!

Mrng Everyone! I am here at work so DAMN depressed!!! I miss my hubby so much!!! Some days I am good but on days like this when the snow is coming down it makes me really sad. I am so damn tired of working so hard! Mi work 2 job, 7 days a week ..no day off. Yeah I am doing what I have to but trust me when when i say mi caan wait fi dis fi ova!!!

aww ladyposh yes some days are tougher than others....the longer I wait the less often I have tough days. It was harder for me when I first applied than it is now. You have to try to find ways to get through it, coming here was a lot of help for me. Having 2 jobs should keep you busy....being busy is the key. I worked a lot of overtime and always planned something on the weekends and also having something to look forward to helped. Hubby and I would always have a countdown going on for the next trip which helped us focus on something else. You have a long road ahead of you girl, just keep your chin up and busy yourself with other things, it's the only way to get through it!

Congrats Rosie....awww, see its true, things always get worse before they get better... just when we cant manage no more god works his magic... GOD IS GOOD! Congrats on having your family home soon! Woop Woop.

Chuckie, i can not promise you that if you have received document request that you will NOT get a interview, because anything could happen between now and then, but if all things stay the same as they are now, from what I have seen on this forum and the old forum for the past 2 years, NO one has been asked for an interview if they have been asked for Original Documents and such. Usually if the IO is not satisfied with the application and would like a interview, it is usually the first request. So its a really good indication that everything is criss on your file... just stay in good spirits cuz positive thoughts = positive actions.

And about the bring forward date, which is the approximate time that we assume the IO will look at your file, is 60 days after the date on your letter... at that time, your IO will say okay, we gave them 60 days to answer our letter lets see if the documents have been sent etc
