I would hope it wouldnt be a red flag but then again i feel it all depends on the VO handling your file. We can get reasonable ones then we could get idiots who may feel 1st anniversary should be a special day spent together. I agree with you mixedchick communication proof would be the most important to me if i was an Vo because not everyone can travel regular let face it Ja is not cheap by all means. So lets pray who ever opens our file thinks the same way.if you can afford to go or get time to go its special to spend it together. I been fortunate to spend my 2 with hubby thanks to a great boss who understands this process is not easy.

We wish we could see each other as often as we could, but money school and work do play a big role in that. HOPE u hear something soon hon. U almost done

Hun me too as much as i love Ja i been there 10 trip 21/2 years way to much money has been spent also lost because i only get vacation pay once a year so i lost tons i need to be called soon i wont be back to Ja after this trip he has to come

Yayy!! What day did he get it back? Have you booked his flight yet?? You must be so excited!!!

He got it back last week! Flights are booked for March 16th. He's finishing work at the end of the month then taking two weeks before he comes. So much to do at our house before him and my step daughter arrive!

thanks for your response, SA= Sponsorship approval? I didn't receive it. When I called. They said they I was approved to sponsor and they sent it to me but I did not receive it at all. I have requested a copy to be sent to me three times and still nothing. I am torn because I am starting a new job March 1st. So it is not particularly easy to request time off so soon after starting.

Hey Mrs.Waiting, to be honest I have the same problem with CIC. I called and asked about the SA letter they said that "everything is fine with [my] application" and that I should have received an email. They said they would resend it and until now I have yet to receive it. I checked my junk mail regularly and received nothing. The only consolation I have is that eCAS says hubbys PR Applivation was in process. Don't worry too much about it- easier said than done I know.

Sorry I responded to a previous post of Mrs.waiting without following the whole thread disregard that please. If it makes you feel any better I missed all my anniversaries with hubby, usually seeing him weeks and at times months after. It's disappointing at a personal level but we have cards and such that we sent to each other to recognize the day. And of course we have pics from the trips that I eventually was able to make. I personally don't think it will affect you application I know of persons who applied and got through with their spouse before they even had a first anniversary and they didn't even know each other that long before marriage. It's all in the Lord's hands don't stress. You'll make it out to see him when you have the opportunity to do so. Just keep record of you and hubbys communication. Your hubby will be here before you know it!
