You can order case notes on your file. It costs $5 and your husband (if you are sponsoring him) will need to sign a consent form!

Caips notes or gcsm notes (same thing) are notes that are made on your file. They are made by the officers working on your file. Good to have especially if going for an interview to see what the concern is for them.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf
(Request for them, by a Canadian citizen)

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5475E.pdf
(Consent form signed by the non canadian)

Cost is $5.
Usually better to order the further in you are (so wouldnt really be useful if you are only 3/4 months in), and takes up to 30 days to come in

Good morning everyone. Hubby pointed out to me this morning that his ecas has finally changed to " in process". We are praying for a productive week with all our files! P.S. hubby is a silent a reader on this thread too shy to say hello lol. Wondering what your thoughts are after finally getting "in process" after so long? We got RPRF in July the bring forward 60 days would have been last week. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Have a great day everyone.
Hey nursewife, you have just passed initial review it sounds like, as your file was missing a component so therefore it stayed and waited in initial review until the BF date which is 60days they gave you. So now your file sounds like it is in the queue for officer review or an interview. I am not 100% abt this, but I do know that once you miss a document or component then the vo will hold your file back until they have all that they want (which in your case was the RPRF). I could be wrong again but this is my understanding of how CIC works...Wish you all the best!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Thats so cool about the notes! I ordered mine aug 28th and so interested in seeing what they have to say. The email that you got from them is generic so they probably werent paying attention.
I really hope they are working and start moving things along!

If I land on a Friday can I leave on the Sunday or Monday and have my Husband send me my PR card through Fedex Or DHL when it arrives?

I have heard several persons speak on this but never really took the time to go through the thread ::)...

Thanks in Advance Guys.

Hi Canjamdiva! The Visa Office doesn't know that my husband is in Canada. He came to visit me in August and the plan was for him to stay in Canada until December. The letter for the invitation was sent to his home address - not in Canada.

We applied outland because if your application is rejected then you are able to appeal the decision and provide additional evidence. if you apply inside you can't get rejected they do not allow you to present additional evidence. Additionally applications filed outside of Canada are processed quicker than inside. CIC wants families to be together - applicants inside Canada are already together. :)

Hope this helps.

I don't know the answer to your question but I would suspect there is no restriction.
Additionally you would be ok to stay out of the country but no longer than 6 months...

I am curious though after everything you have to go through to get PR in Canada why would you want to leave so quickly? I am sure you have a good reason just found the question curious.

:)

I am almost positive you can leave as soon as you want. There are plenty of people that have obligations that they need to take care of.
:)

Good luck and God Bless.

everyone I have known has waited until they have received there PR card before travelling. While there is nothing saying you can't travel it is recommended that you don't leave Canada until you receive your PR card because without the PR card they don't have to allow you to re enter canada and can in fact deny you entry. While yes you could have your husband send you the PR card in the mail it's kinda a risk because I'm the unlikely event something went wrong and your card was lost or didn't reach you in time then you would have to reapply and go through the whole process again . If you did have a visiting visa before you were granted PR status and it is still valid and hasn't expired then you would be alright to re enter without any issue . Unless there is a situation that requires you to travel I personally would wait until you actually have the PR to leave canada. It would be so unfortunate to have to start all over if it can be prevented and it's better safe than sorry ..
