what does ARC mean?
ARC-Authorization to Return to Canada. It's a letter you need to write to COC explaining why you should be allowed back into Canada. This is for people who have been asked to leave Canada and for the most part have a lifetime ban on returning. There is also a fee of 400.00 or so that needs to be paid.

Hello and welcome,
What I think you should put only the kind of addresses requested, that mean with no PO Box.
My husband lived in a couple of places in his life and we never put everything, we only put his parents address.
thank you for ur response Meljam!

Here is my situation

I am a Canadian by descent and have lived in Jamaica majority of my life, however in Oct 2013 I decided to go live in Canada permanently (at this time I was five mths pregnant). I found a job and had my son in March 2014, and have been on 1 yr maternity leave since then. I came back to Jamaica in April 2014 to spend my maternity leave with my husband (spent 10 out the 12 mths given for mat leave).

Me being in Jamaica for 10 mths would that create a problem? I am a citizen and I still have my job once my maternity leave comes to an end

Won't be a problem at all as you are a Canadian Citizen. I was on Mat Leave when I applied for my hubby and had no issues. Also you are allowed to leave the country on mat leave so that also isn't an issue.

Hi,
I wish I could help you but, I really don't know, but I heard about you should come back every 6 months if you want to maintain your citizenship...but I read somewhere else that the only way that you can "lose" your Canadian citizenship is if for example you apply to be citizen of a country that doesn't allow dual citizenship. You have to request it from the government (that you renounce to your Canadien citizenship). So maybe you should verify this before and see after if it will causes any problem...

yea man I know I am allowed to leave while on mat leave.....I selected the option on the form that says I am living in Canada, so I jus wanted to make sure that even though I selected that option, me being in Jamaica for 10 mths would not create a problem.

Were u in Jamaica on ur mat leave? and for how long? If you dnt mind me asking

Hi All,

I am new to this post. A little about us: We are a young couple in our 20s. Married April 2014 in Jamaica. I live in Canada and hubby lives in Jamaica. Hubby did his medicals and police check which I submitted with the sponsorship application on Nov 6th. I recently got a reply that our file was sent to Kingston, Jamaica. My biggest concern is the time it takes Jamaica to process the papers. Does it really take 27 months? Even when the medicals and police check was done in advance?

I go to Jamaica quite regularly to see him and I really hope we can finally be together for good. I am sure everyone is hoping for the same thing:)

Just get the latest bank statement posted to you by your bank every month. That should be a good prove.

You're done.

I have a question, this is for anyone who can answer.

I have a friend who got married after her permanent residency card was issue. Now she wants to take up her husband and kid which wasn't declare on the app as she came up as an adult student under her parents app. Can he still file for them.
