My ECAS finally changed:

Permanent Residence


We received your application for permanent residence on March 1, 2012.


We started processing your application on March 19, 2013.


Medical results have been received.

Congrats Chickie Finally!!!! I cannot believe they took a whole year to start processing your stuff. So tell hubby to look out for the letter to do his fingerprints. It's coming within a week or two.

Yes chickies atleast we know our file is being looked at now but guess what though mine said the exact same thing only thing my date was february 19th urs march 19th but thats when thy requested through mail those additional documens so keep checking hubby email if thy want anything

Yes for sure....it is good to know that it is being looked at now. I will keep checking and I phoned him this morning and told him to tape his phone to his ear! LOL

Yes I remember from your status, it took about 2 weeks for them to send you a letter about the fingerprints.....can I ask...did your husband not have an email, just wondering why they mailed it out when it seems they do alot of calling and emailing but yours was mailed but if he didn't have email then maybe that is why.

He received the letter in the mail. My email is set up for correspondence because the passport request was sent through email but i think they will send the letter to your husband in order for him to bring with him to the police station so the police address the letter properly etc.

Chickie, if it makes you feel any better, KG sent my hubby a letter in the mail : to re-do his police certificate and it only took two days to get to him according to the date on the document.

So when we first put in the application, we used my husbands brother phone # as hubby didn't have a phone yet....I changed it months ago and that is stated in my notes also......well guess who got an phone call thsi morning. Asking him for Dennis's email? Well he don't know it.....LIke really, they have his # look on the computer it is all there! Grrrrrrrr

OK OK OK, I just got word from a birdie there is some BIG NEWS up in here and boy the birdie wasn't lying. I knew this was coming and wow it sure did come. You'll have the entire weekend to smile like this:

Is it an ABSOLUTE requirement to do fingerprinting and RCMP check? I hope you can bypass all that and get a call for passport. :
