So, want to share some information with all you lovely ladies. Decided to contact my MP's office to see if they could check some things out for me. In talking with the MP's assistant, I found out this:

- if your spouse does not have employable/eduucational skills that can easily be transferred to contribute to Canada's economy, be prepared to wait out the full length of time. Because this is a money making business and that's how it goes (<<< those are my 2 cents not his lol)

- 2nd Presently, there are changes being implemented in Jamaica to change the way they communicate with applicants, as we all know it is very poor.

- Last, there are not enough employees in Kingston to handle the number of applications being submitted, the office is severly back logged!

He checked out my file by contacting Minister Kenney's office directly instead of Jamaica (which I thought was interesting, didn't know they could do that)

Their response was that they have received the additional documents I sent them in June (although they never responded to me) and that my file is under review. Again, that sounds so very vague and I'm left still hanging

Thank you!! and i really beleive i can do it!!!!!.........however its only been 24 hours......so i still have left over nicotene in my system....BUT!!!!!!! so far so good...i have weed, and i havent even been tempted to indulge, cause imo thats cheating!!!

i wanna do this!!! and i feel good about it..ive been smoking for 15 years, and im not even 30 yet.

I do not want to discredit what LHNB wrote, but nuff people have gotten thru that were not docs and lawyers (even tho she never say they don't get thru, just that they MAY take longer) so nuh worry yuhself. I don't believe they can deny your husband if he have no education as this is family sponorship. They may look at it in general as a part of determining the genuineness of the relationship, but I don't know all there is to know. Just take comfort in this, your husband gonna get thru and be with you. Just relax and focus on your countdown!

they wont deny him.....but in terms of making them wait the full term - as a result of what, and how fast they can contribute to the CAD economy makes more than sense!!!!



so if everyone full well knows this imiigration office is highly understaffed..whats being done to rectify this??

....speaking of which...him and i were discussing taking a 7 week course, that also offers a job placement for several weeks...BUT the condition for enrollement is u have to trim your hair.

i quite like my husbands hair, so when i come down he wants me to speak with the guy to find out if he can still enorll without having to trim....and if a no...........................then snip snip.

Hello ladies, hope everyone is having a good day. Anada don'y pay any mind to the skill sets of your husband, you have shown that you will be able to take care of his responsibilities until he gets settled in. there is work enough even if it is entry level work, CIC understands flipping burgers at MacD or making coffee at Timmy Tons doesn't require huge skill sets, now don't take offence anyone, just saying. I know out west they are paying $15-17 an hour for these jobs as cannot get anyone to do them. When were flying back there were 45 Croatians going through customs when we were, all going to work at Timmies. 4-5 months ago or so I know MacD's were interviewing in Mobay to bring people over. CIC is not the least bit worried that your hubbies will not find work if they want to

First Im hearin of an office in Mobay, Im intrigued, tell me more lol...

and LWU's hubby was a well skilled and certified carpenter and yet they took the longest to get through out of all on our forum with the exception of one from 2008 and 2 from 2009.... so although I do believe it is a small factor, I don't think it takes up the majority of the processing times...
