Good Morning everyone!

Just wondering if anyone ever took a Leave of Absence for a month or so from work to go to JA to be with your spouse? or did something similar. I've been toying with the idea of it. I hate that I have to continue to make a living lol why can't I just take a 22 mnth leave of absence with pay and my position secure? Is that too much to ask?!

No..but for real - anyone do this before?

Mrs. P I am currently 2 months into my 5 month LOA! I am very fortunate to work with a flexible company which allowed me to take a leave, but work on a special project online while i'm here. Managing the finances/bills aspect can be a bit difficult, but I say if you can manage for the month do it both you and Mr.P will love having some extra time together

Does any know of past members on this Kingston thread that needed an arc and how long it took them, were they successful and does it take longer than other persons applications?

It takes approximately 3 months for the ARC to be completed and yes your application takes longer.

I usually go for long spurts at a time - I took vacation for 6weeks during the wedding to be with my hubby and also went for a month a few other times. In June I will be going for 5weeks.

I took a three month LOA and spent 1/2 of it with my hubby in JA. Oh the joys of just being a couple of waking and going to sleep each night with each other

I took a six month leave of absence to go stay in Jamaica. I didn't know my hubby at the time but we met while I was there, so it was the best decision I ever made. It was lovely in the start to spend so much time together.
