Just a big THANK YOU to Canada

There is nothing unique about Canada offering immigration channels to people from outside the country.

What is more unique is how bureaucratic and slow it is. No thanks in order in my opinion. I doubt the poor sods who sat around for YEARS in the FSW queue only to have their applications cancelled will be as gushing in their praise.

Actually, it is rather unique. Try emigrating to France, Japan, Thailand, or Great Britain, and you will see how rare it is for a country to offer the chance for large numbers of people to immigrate, especially without jobs. Outside of Australia, the United States, and Canada, immigration numbers are quite small.

I also feel deep gratitude to Canada for letting me come and live in a society that values education, provides excellent medical care, and follows principles of human rights and evidence-based policy far more than my own.
