We applied outland through Singapore VO. She came into Canada May 31, submitted the package June 17. We applied for an extension at the beginning of November, expecting we would get some sort of news in Feb/Mar. Got the PPR request about 2 days after submitting the extension for the visa and made the landing the day before her original visa departure date.

Same situation here... Applied Outland in June here in Canada. Got a visa extension in December and got my PPR yesterday. I was not sure if it was better send my passport to Ottawa or Sao Paulo. I thought I had to send to Sao Paulo because I applied Outland.

But I am relieved now since everything worked smoothly for you and we have the same situation! Thank you so much!

On Oct 3rd, they asked me for additional documents by e.mail. I sent them back to Rabat VO by email, and no reply since then. I am worried they might not have checked the e.mail at all. Do you think I should mail them again or take them to Rabat. Do they send emails of reminders in case they don't receive the additional required documents?

Personally I emailed my Visa Office if they received my Medical Results.. they texted me back in a week or so.. you can try to email them too, asking whether they have your docs or not. Most likely they are just slow..

yeah, i would assume they received them and just haven't gotten any further in the processing yet, but you could make a Case Specific Enquiry just to be on the safe side. they don't normally email to say they received stuff, but if you make an enquiry and they *haven't* received your documents, they'll certainly let you know at that point.

End of a chapter: I landed last weekend!

I was first going to do it at the CIC office in Ottawa, since there are walk-in hours every other Tuesday and they're a few minutes from my office. But apparently they have a bad grip on the rules for outland applications. First they asked for extra photos, while the one on the COPR should be, and in the end was indeed enough. They also wanted my wife to be there and for us to proof that we live at the same address, but for outland applications that should not be necessary. We do obviously, but my wife can't make Tuesdays due to work.

So in the end it was just easier to drive down to the Prescott border crossing, about an hour from here.

VFS in Wafi Mall in Dubai. And their tracking system is no longer working (at least for our file)

We did. Piece of cake! Sent it to Ottawa with a self addressed Xpress Post envelope (to your Canadian address) and had the passport with COPR back in three weeks. Quick trip to the US a couple of days later and we were done!

Hello again! I received the PR request letter and they want me to send in a photocopy of the passport and two photos of myself and those family members who will accompany me. Does it apply on my daughter? She is coming with me to Canada, but she is a Canadian citizen.
