I dont think it will effect your application if you did pay it. People pay upfront all the time. You will have to pay it eventually anyway so I wouldn't worry too much about it. You may not receive the second e-mail telling you to disregard it. So I would wait it out. If you're concerned try giving them a call in a day or 2 to see if they received it and if it's all good.

I got rprf 2 weeks ago, so I am not a victim of this mistake (yet) but this is bs man, you cant make these big level mistakes at an international level, people are counting on it.. its very demoralizing for people who got a sense of relief after waiting for so long

I had got my RPRF and medical request back in July 2015. still waiting to see the line golden line medical received in the ECAS.

Alhamdulillah!
Got my passport request today:

My timeline:

- Immigration office received application for PR on 7 April
- Application Processing started on 1st May
- 2nd Jan 2015: send an email to Immigration office about my status change and that i wanted to include my wife in my application
- 9th February 2015 received email from immigration office to provide documents to prove relationship
- 14th May 2015 received medical request for principal applicant
- 15th May 2015 received RPRF request for me and my wife
- 13th june received medical request for my wife
- 15 jan 2016: RECEIVED PASSPORT REQUEST for me and my wife

I have already submitted my passport to ottawa office. My wife she is currently in pakistan and i have send an email to CPC-Ottawa indicating she wont be able to submit passport in ottawa office and that I be provided alternative arrangement for submission of my wife passport.

Has anyone gone through the process of submitting spouse passport for visa stamp in pakistan? Can anyone guide what the procedure will be and how long it could take?

Today I have got response from CSIS saying that they haven't even got the file for back ground check and CIC has been claiming that they have been waiting for the background check to be completed since April.
right from the day one my suspicion is that my file has not been put forward for background check.

this is ridiculous attitude of CIC, need to check with My MP.

Does any body faced the same situation.

I sent FAX in Oct and have waited for their response. It seems that they sent the response but I haven't received later I sent in Jan then I got the response.

But how comes people from August have reviewed mr?
Does anyone know the process, I always thought it was criminal and background checks then once passed a mr is issued...?

Yes dear. I was in second review due to my role & responsibility not mentioned in the employement letter. Later i see in GCMS that its passed. so frankly speaking nothing pending from my end medical,RPRF,RCMP,PCC all submitted but as of now no PPR.
