Do you guys know how long is the wait for re-scheduling oath ceremony? I mailed them back in October and my original ceremony was supposed to be on Nov 2nd but I still haven't heard anything back.

The reschedule depends upon many different factors so there is no fixed time. But typically we have seen on the forum people getting another Oath invite after 2-4 months.

Applied for my passport yesterday (2 days after Oath). They said I should receive it before or on the 20th of December. BTW one lesson learnt was that I had the guarantor sign the photocopies of my IDs but I didn't have them date it. In such a case, they ask to show the originals; because it was my driver's licence and health card which I always carry with me, I was able to just show them those and get the passport application processed. Remember this when you're applying for your passports. Good luck.

I have almost the same timeline as yours but I am below 55 and received a FP request in July. May I ask from which city did you apply? I applied from Mississauga and I don't know what should I do?! My family applied shortly before me and they are all Canadian citizens now.
I applied from Toronto and its the same timeline with finger print in August.

When I called CIC, they told me since they asked for a finger print, CIC promise of 12 month processing time won't be applicable. Expect more :(

In less than 30 days my application will be a one year old, so 12 month processing time is impossible.

Good Luck GTA applicants.

Thank you for your reply. This is bad and sad. Nothing we can do unfortunately. I will notify you if I received any updates. The problem is not the 12 month time frame, it's not knowing if it will be 13,14, or more.
