Is proof of funds required when on maternity leave from full-time Canada job

Please help me out. It says on the cic website that if you have arranged employment you do not need to provide proof of funds, but seeing that I am on maternity leave, do you think it will be required?

My work is full time permanent in Canada. I applied to CIO sydney / CPP ottawa
