Is old Passport needed after PPR ?

Hi All,

I have a question regarding the passport request.

1) Passport to be sent to VFS : Do I need to include the old passport along with the new when giving it to VFS ?

2) Passport to be uploaded in MyCIC: Do I need to include the old passport along with the new when uploading ?

I did not have any Canadian Visa before.

I am sure many of you would have had similar question.

Although they dont really mention explicitly to submit/upload old passports, but then how do they
verify the travel history that would be present in the old passport for most of the people.

They don't verify travel history at all.

By the time you get PPR anyway, all checks are completed and your application is approved. It is literally just to stamp your visa.

I got ITA on my old passport and only sent the new passport after PPR. There was no issue at all.

Yeah I think so too now.

The text says "submit a legible copy of your valid travel document which u will use to travel". So that has to be the current
passport only and no need of old passport.
