IS job matter for Extending PR

I was wondering about something. If I will come to UK as a PR holder by applying FSW as a Programmer and after coming there unfortunately i am unable to find a job in IT field as a programmer, and working in some other job like waiter or customer care etc. Will it be a problem for renewing my PR. Do i have to work as a programmer itself ? what if i cant find a job in that area?

Please tell me what are the criteria for renew PR status

No - there won't be a problem extending your PR status if you work outside of your field. No - you don't have to work as a programmer after arriving to keep PR.

Thank you for the reply and its really reduce my worries about what after landing in Canada. some people saying its hard to find a professional job. but ur reply helps to relax a bit
