Is convocation certificate Compulsory?

Hi Experts,

I am applying for FSW PR visa quota from India. I do not have Convocation certificate but I do have provisional certificate.

I got my Provisional Certificate transcript from Mumbai university and is been verified by WES as well.

Now I am not sure if in later stage before filing the case, would I need Convocation. If I would, I will apply now ASAP so that I get it.

Please let me know, Any help will be much appreciated.

Provisional would work, however if you can get the Convocation certificate (degree) by the time then it would be a plus point for you.

But, would it really needed? Why I am asking bcoz to get this Convocation certificate I have to wait for another 1 month atleast.

May I apply only with Provisional Certificate? or Shall I wait for it.?

Yes, you can apply with provisional only as I have done the same way. But as soon as I get mine, I would update it. So, you should apply for your Convocation certificate while on the other hand submit your application. BTW which NOC are you applying to ?

Also, I am software programmer with non-engineering background. Can i apply for 2172 and 2173 as well as 2174 is filling like anything? please suggest.

You're welcome. I'm applying for 2281. You can apply for 2172 or 2173 if you can match atleast 70% of the NOC duties and also you need to make changes to your reference letters and experience letters to match with new NOC but it can be risky in terms of genuineness.

That shouldn't be an issue, but experience should match with the duties of the NOC.

That's no problem. As such there are no restrictions on FSW candidates regarding work or stay in any specific province, that means you can work or stay anywhere in canada wherever the opportunity is available.
