I am reading different posts, and looks like many applicants order CAIP report.

Question: people who did ordered - did VO really follows forwarding date, etc. which mention in CAIP notes.

Please let me know, so that I can order one.

Thanks in advance

Dear Aliz,

The CAIPS is the system where visa officer puts his remarks and all file movements are recorded. it is very helpful if you order CAIPs and you find some information. CAIPS are the notes from visa officer's computer only. So go ahead if you wish to order. It was very helpful in my interview. I knew before interview why they called me for that.

best of luck.

Yes my friend, i agree with you, it is very helpful. In my case, if i did not ordered Caip notes, i would not have been aware of the mistake made by the visa officer in processing my file.

All these mistakes are the cause of my file being delayed. He asked me to provide a police report for a country i only visited for a short time. Immediately i received the caip notes, i wrote to him explaining this error and belief me without Caip notes, i will never had known about this problem and i might have been rejected for his own fault.

I will recommend you order it, if you case has been delayed above the processing time.

Hope it helps.

You have to pay all the times you order caips notes. if you order through a friend in Canada , it cost only 5 Dollars.

So I just order CAIP notes, lets see. Just for reference I did following:

download form from following link
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563B.pdf

Fill in the form with the required details i.e.:

a) Visa post (e.g. Buffalo, NY etc.)
b) File number (e.g. BXXXX..)
c) Date of Birth
d) Your Postal address (In Canada address only)

2) Check on the box for the CAIPS notes request in the form.

3)Provide a photocopy of your valid permit/visa in Canada (Person requesting).

4) Write a cover letter requesting the notes (Person who requests writes that).

5) Enclose CAD 5.00 to Receiver General for Canada

Mail all the papers together to :

Citizenship and Immigration Canada

CAIPS notes will give you the exact information about the processing and the status of your aplication. It is not essential when your file is moving in a normal time frame. You need to order for CAIPS notes when you feel that your application presessing is slowed down and there is no proper response from the visa office for your case specific enquiry or for any sort of communication. In such a situation there is no other way than getting the CAIPS notes to know where you stand.
