Yes. I received test invite before eCAS was updated.

ECAS is unfortunately not accurate all the time, I have read two other people's posts where they received Test letters and completed the test as well waiting Oath now but their ECAS still displayed 'In Process'. In short yes you could get test invite keep checking your mailbox.

Hi RHH, did you try calling Call Center to ask if they have sent you a letter for test? Thanks.

Yes now a days any thing possible CIC in rush for new applicant and file are moving
really fast less than a year cases are finishing, so keep checking your post , e cas
and every two / three week make one phone call to avoid any misplace of your
letter.. better to be careful than regret at later date..once miss take you for year long
waiting time.

Yes, it is pretty much possible.

The last line on my e-cas status states that my file was transferred to the local office and it is still there till date.

I have already given my test/interview and waiting for oath and e-cas never updated with test/interview invite information.


So, basically, you can't rely on e-cas all the time. If you have questions, call cic call centre and also keep monitoring your physical mailbox.

Before the Point 4., it is very unlikely that you'll get test invite, as your file is still in Sydney.
After Point 4. your file is no longer at Sydney and some local offices do not update eCAS as Sydney does.
Basically after Point 4. start checking your mailbox more regularly and with more expectations.

E-Cas is updated on Tuesdays, between 12-2 am, if you check on Wednesdays, you will get the full week before but won't see anything before next Wednesday.

No, ecas gets updated any time of the week, normally 2-3 days after an action was actually taken.
