Interview passed

My wife and I passed the interview at the Canadian Consulate in Hong Kong today. The VO was friendly and respectful, intervieewedmy wife for 10 minutes, htyen asked me into the toom and asked me a few questions. Then he said we had passed, and if my wife could leave her passpoert with him, the visa-passport woudlo arrive in about 8 weeks.

Meanwhile we must wait for an official letter requesting a new medical before actually getting the medical. We must take the letter itself to the examiner.

Still, despite these last delays, we're on our way!!

Congrats, we too just passed the interview on March 30th in New Delhi. Although I was there (the sponsor), I wasn't interviewed. I am happy to hear these good news from our members. May you both get all the happiness you deserve with your new life in Canada.

YAY! Good job! However, the VO was fibbing a bit. You can redo the medical without that letter. I don't know why they tell people that. But if it makes you feel more secure to wait for it, by all means, do so. You've probably got loads of things to do to get ready for the big move to Canada!

I asked him if we could just go ahead and get the medical done before receiving the letter, R., and he said there will be something in the letter that we need to show the medical officer.

i'm curious though what should the DMP see in that letter? what more would that letter have then just telling u to re-do the medicals? :

it looks that u had a nice interview experience with a friendly respectful VO; do u mind sharing with us the questions he asked u and ur wife? was it good that u were there present with her or do u think it wouldn't have changed anything?
