Canada visa applicants are being interviewed. Questions about their intent, program choice, and other basic issues pertaining to their application are being ascertained! Prepare yourself thoroughly, folks! Ineffective answers can cost you visa!

A student who applied for Concordia University got a call from the Canadian High Commission and they asked the student the following questions

* Why did you chose to study in Canada?
* Why did you chose to study XYZ program?
* What is your graduation and specialisation?
* What are the career opportunities back in India after course completion?
* The course you have chosen to study in Canada is Theory based or Project Based?

So friends be prepared to answer some basis questions related to your Indian graduation and your proposed study in Canada! All the very best to all!

Try to prove/establish sufficient logic behind why you have chosen the program? ( in the sense what you have studied in India and what you propose to study in Canada must be either logical extension of your study or should complement your Indian qualification else your file becomes weak on COST BENEFIT equation parameter -- which leads to rejection eventually).

Also prove the case officer that you have occupational, financial and personal incentives back in India that will persuade you to return to India after course completion.

guys thats what statement of purpose is for to save from interview(not always)..although there are very extremely few chances of interview..better to write SOP with your own hands and prepare for it it will help you a lot..

Few questions that were asked !

• Your name, date of birth and place of birth?
• Why did you choose Canada?
• What college and what program and what is the level of study?
• What is your graduation? Subject studied in that
• When did you finish your graduation and from which college/university?
• Why did you choose the program you propose to study in Canada?
• Syllabus of the program you intend to study in Canada?
• Who is your agent/consultant and did he charge any processing fee?
• What are the other colleges you did consider for study before concluding with XYZ College?
• What are the career opportunities back in India after course completion? Ur future plan
• Why did you chose to study Diploma which is undergraduate level having done graduation in India (If applicable)?
• What will be the living and accommodation costs in Canada?
• When did you give your IELTS and what is the total and sub bands score?
• Your parent’s profession and annual income?
• How much tuition fee you paid to the college and how did you pay that?
• Have you taken any education loan (or) purchased any GIC Certificate?
• Do you have any relatives in Canada?

So friends practice answers (relevant, appropriate and sufficient in content) to all the questions listed above thoroughly . And I am sure you can and will crack the interview and win study permit to Canada. Preparation and practice will certainly beat the interview blues!
