inquiries re:restoration

Hi everyone! Does anybody knows the timeline for restoration status?...My cousin just submitted her application last Dec 17,2010 and it was received last Dec 22,2010.She also sent her application for her work permit.She is a live-in caregiver.Unfortunately,she wasnt able to renew her work permit before it expired.Btw,her 90 days restoration period is until Jan 15 2011.

Does anyone had the same experience?

Not clear on the website to which category restoration is but used to be that processing for restoration is over 100 days. She can stay in Canada till she receives a response form Vegreville but she can't work because she lost status as a worker. Hope she sent fees for restoration and for the work permit, and documents on the checklist that are needed.

i heard about the 90 days of restoration period not more than that.as she applied before the rstoration period was over she can stay in Canada until her new WP receive. still she needs to pay the restoration fee .

I think , according to the CIC web site the employee should stop work when restoration period over.
But i Know sombody is still working without ne w work permit after expiring of previous one on June 2010. restoration was over in sept 2010. Isn't it illegal?

@ thusha 7716:thanks ... my cousin is currently not working,she is waiting for her work permit and restoration.It is illegal to work without valid work permit.

Hi seventeen17: she submitted the restoration application last dec 17 2010,it was process Dec 22,2010.she received her work permit and restored her status last Feb 9 2011.
