INLAND OWP 1 OR 2 YEARS?

after reading this forum just a quick question, is the OWP that is provided under the inland application 1 or 2 years I was under the understand it was only a 1 year work permit but I'm reading in some places its 2. can someone please clarify? thanks

Hi there, im not sure how long the work permit can be as it varies. Mine arrived not so long ago for Inland and it was 2 years but I have heard some cases where some people have gotten less than 2 years it all depends, you will only know when it arrives in the mail.

The OWP is generally valid for 2 years unless the applicant's passport expires before then. The OWP will not be valid beyond passport expiry.

The OWP will only be valid until january, so yes, you will need to apply for an extension after renewing the passport.

Oh wow...what if he renews passport before receiving OWP? Or is the owp expiry only based on the date on his curent passport ?

If he renews his passport and updates it with IRCC before the OWP is processed, it *should* have the new expiry.
