i have landing interview tomorrow ,jst one quick question do i need to take my marraige certificate original with me as well??please if anyone can answer fast ,m little worried as my document is not with me at this point.

In my landing letter I was asked for a valid passport for myself (applicant) and a photo id for a sponsor. Nothing regarding the marriage certificate. There is no need to bring it unless you've been asked for it specifically

I just wanted to share an update.
So my application was received on Oct. 29
They started procesing it on Aug. 13.
my husband got yesterday an email saying that he is eligible to sponsor
Then few minutes after I got an email too saying that I am eligible bla bla (I guess this is an AIP).

Nov applicants guess you're next !!
But I have a question. Do I need to do the medical exam or should I wait for a request ? If so, How long should I wait before getting the medical request ?

Submitted Work Permit: last quarter of 2015
When I called CIC last Jan 18th, they said not to worry, they're doing Background Checks but online status shows Received.
CIC Started Processing: Dec 29, 2015 according to online status (for Sponsorship)
My common law had to leave Canada November of 2015 for a family emergency and we're waiting on AIP before applying for a TRV to get back because she's out of status.

You should not wait a request... does not make any sense see wait CIC. They can provide you DM if you did the medical. Now if CIC requests it, you will wait around 30 to 90 days to get dm

Also...you are added at spreadsheet. Please keep us posted when you get DM and landing interview.

So finally got DM yesterday..

Date Application Received according to CIC: Feb 4, 2014
Date AOR Received: May 22, 2014
Sponsorship approval: May 7, 2015
Approval of the applicant (full AIP): May 7, 2015
Requested Medical and second police clearance received by CIC end of May 2015
Date DM Received: Feb 9, 2016
Now waiting for landing appointment..

I really hope CIC improves their process. its BS for any inland spouse to wait this long.

same here..july applicant. no SA and AIP yet. received medical request on jan 17 2016, did medical a week after. no update still on ecas...want to hear updates from other july applicants pls

Did you mean Nov October 29th 2015??because you also said started waiting on it August 13th, was that an error ..please clarify
