Little update:
I done my medical on Apr 8, called cic today and confirmed that they have received my second one on Apr 18, so it's about a week after i done my medical.

Got DM letter today through email! Now it says I have to wait for the, "Canada Immigration Centre in Ottawa will contact you to arrange an appointment for the
finalization of your permanent resident application."

Feeling relieved. Are there any other Ottawa residents that could comment on how long it usually takes to get that final appointment?

Does any body know how to ask for extension to CIC Manila? They asked for additional documents and we cannot meet the deadline.

Landed today in Ottawa. Got there a little early and waited about 30mins before I was called. Then they just asked the three questions, asked my wife if she was still willing to sponsor me, had me sign the COPR and it was over. Very smooth process. So Happy that this is finally over. Thank you to everyone on this forum, you have all been a tremendous help. For those still waiting hang in there, the day will come!

I just received the DM email yesterday, and now I'm waiting for the Ottawa office to contact me for the landing appointment. Did you get the feeling that they were still on that 7 week timeline? Totally trying to figure out how long this last bit will take, which is probably a silly thing to do. It's so unpredictable.

I got my AOR on October 15, 2013. But until now, me and my wife has not received any info regarding our case. No AIP, Not request for more evidences, not request for interview.

So anyone can share their ideas about what may cause our delay?

Hello everyone,

I am an Oct 17th 2013 applicant. I was asked for more documents and medical exams, which CIC received on March 27th. I called CIC last week and they confirmed they got my medicals and everything but I still don't get ANYTHING on my e-cas, not even a "medical exams received". It only says they received my application on Oct 17 2013.

It's so frustrating and I don't know what's happening. I see many of you already have (at least) "medical exams received". Have my officer forgotten about me? By the way, mine is OFFICER MSI-ER4, has anyone had this officer working on their application? Is he/she always this slow to give decisions? Please, help! :'( ???
