Hate immigration Ottawa.... Pissed... Really pissed... Finally I got my COPR on October 21 after 13 weeks. Finally start working but noooooooo nooooo nooooo.... They said I can get my SIN no with in 24 hrs. But because of what happen here last week Wednesday, I went to service Canada in thursday instead. The officer says that they can't access my file for some reason. They suggested to come back next week. So I did, I came back today and still they can't access my file that they can't do anything about it. So I called CIC they said CIC-Ottawa did not finalized and dated my file on Oct 21.

Now i need to wait another week for them to process... Grrrrrrrr...

The Western Europe checklist has had the "from the age of 18" requirement since at least 2012. It seems odd that inland applications should be subject to less scrutiny..

Inland application did at one point had to list residences since 18 years of age. My wife's PR inland sponsorship had to list her residence since she was 18. It has been changed to last 10 years after we submitted the application.

That's not a problem. She been filing taxes since she landed as PR.

Well, of course now I can't find the right guide, but I cut and pasted that language in my notes last year, with a
link to the old guide . Now the link goes to a guide updated this year.

You and your family members, who are 18 years of age and older and are not permanent residents or Canadian citizens, must provide a:
• valid police certificate, or
• police clearance, or
• record of no information.
Provide these documents for each country other than Canada in which you and your family members have lived for more than six (6) months consecutively during the past ten (10) years. If you or your family members were under 18 years of age when you lived there, you do not need to provide a police certificate.

I also confirmed with a lawyer, although that may not be worth much.

There is no mention of 10 years from the 2013-05-29 version of the document.

We will also do our own background checks to determine if there are grounds under which you and your dependants may be inadmissible to Canada.

This isn't about residences but about PCC. London also is supposed to only require 10 years of residence information but it didn't stop them from requesting a new form with "since the age of 18" halfway through my application.

1.We received your application for permanent residence on August 7, 2013.

2.We started processing your application on October 23, 2014.

Some March 2014 already got processing line appear on their Ecas. I dont understand the logic behind Ecas.

Some March 2014 already got processing line appear on their Ecas. I dont understand the logic behind Ecas.

There was a month break in the issue of AORs in July. It looks like applications confirmed before that (apps received till February) can see only that the app is received. Starting in August (apps sent from March) were confirmed and took into the eCAS in a different way, so they can see that the processing started on the date of the AOR.
I love consistency.

Right, mine shows they started processing Sept 12, 2013 and nothing from CIC yet.
Practically speaking, I think it is meaningless to applicants.

I am sooooooooooo disappointed

I called CIC. Took about 10 obsessive redialing attempts on my lunch break.

The good news is they rec’d our use of a representative form, so now they can release info to me without having to speak to my husband first every time.

And that is where the good news ends.

Nothing new on our file. Nothing has been looked at our touched, except since that email back in March from Etobicoke asking if they are going to transfer our file or keep it in Mississauga for processing. No answer to that email. Nothing new on processing. No notes about extending our medical or requesting a new one. NADA. NOTHING.

So much for me expecting AIP today or tomorrow

Feeling rather heartbroken…I had gotten my hopes up…*sigh* </3

At least it was the nicest and most helpful agent I’ve ever connected with at CIC…but not much she can do about what is not there!!

ACS i know your frustration, im sorry, just wanna ask about the transferring of your file to local office, do you think there is a really big problem in your file that they need to transfer it? I mean let's just hope everythings gonna be fine

You're a few days away from it. As we know it only takes them a few hours to look at files and issue AIPs thats probably why nothing has shown up now. But the day will come this week or next week.
