I am in BC right now, and I applied from BC... but the whole process seems like is going to take longer than usual, longer than we calculated when we applied. So we are thinking about moving to Quebec, since my husband is from Quebec. But I was wondering how to do this if my application is already in process, and I don't have CSQ yet.
You must to call CIC to inform them you're changing province. To work, study, live in Quebec you need CSQ - Certificat de selection du Quebec and to apply for this document CIC will send you a letter asking for.

That's what I was wondering, so it might have a significantly delay on the application. Coz not working and not being able to move anywhere is getting very frustrating, specially without knowing how long it will take for AIP's to be processed this year.
Thank You Yata!

Congratulations! So very happy for you and your husband! That is fantastic. Best of luck to you. Can I please ask how you / where you sent an email inquiry to? Never heard of this route?

Thank you for contacting Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).

This email address is intended for case specific enquiries only. For general enquiries, please consult our Website<http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp>.

We will respond to your enquiry if:

· It is case-specific and meets the criteria<http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/help.asp> listed on our Website regardless if your application was submitted inside or outside Canada (the response delay for this type of enquiry is 30 business days). Your email must include your complete name and Unique Client Identifier (UCI) number / Client ID number.

Note:

· If you are requesting the urgent processing of an application, you will be contacted by CIC within two (2) business days. If you require your Permanent Resident Card urgently, please refer to our Website for the procedure<http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/pr-card/apply-how.asp#urgent> to follow.

· If you are requesting an appointment at the local CIC office, we will only respond to your enquiry if it falls within the existing reasons for an appointment.

OR

· It is related to the use CIC's online services<http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/index.asp>, Partner Portal<http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/institutions/access-portal.asp> for educational institutions or CIC Portal: Authorized Paid Representatives<http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/portal.asp> (the response delay for this type of enquiry is ten (10) business days).

If your request requires us to access your immigration or citizenship file, we would need the following information:

1. Surname (last name)- Exactly as it appears on the passport or identity document

2. Given name(s) (first name)- Exactly as it appears on the passport or identity document

3. Date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD)

4. Country of birth

5. Complete address (including the postal code). If the residential address is different from the mailing address, please provide both addresses.

6. Telephone number. If you have more than one contact number, please provide them all.

7. Unique Client Identifier (UCI) number / Client ID number

8. Online application reference number

9. Type of application (work permit, study permit or visitor record)

10. Approximate date that the application was submitted

If you are a person to whom we are authorized to release information (written consent on the file), the above information must pertain to the applicant. You must also provide your full name, telephone number and address. If you are not the applicant or you are not authorized to receive information, you will not receive a further reply to your email.

If the above information was not included in your email, please email us again with the requested information. We will not respond to your request until we receive all of this information in one email.

Sending multiple emails concerning the same request will not accelerate the response delay.

For enquiries that are not related to the list of subjects above, please refer to our Website<http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp>. If your situation requires an immediate response, you may also contact our Call Centre<http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/index.asp#callcentre>.

Also be advised that, as per the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and its Regulations, you must respect the conditions imposed upon you at the time of entry to Canada. For temporary residents, this includes the obligation to maintain a legal status for the duration of your stay. Please be aware that sending us an email does not remove the obligation to respect those conditions.

Please note that Citizenship and Immigration Canada can only communicate with you in one of our two (2) official languages: English or French.

Thank you. Sincerely,
