After yesterdays fantastic run on AIP and DM and all of that other happy stuff today is feeling very much like a let down ... *sighs* ....

I am still waiting, maybe not so patiently anymore ...

I hope the applicants on 6Dec'12 got some great news today too!!!

Just got a brown envelope from CIC!!

I land Nov 18th. It seams to be a free for all, first come first served format as it just says to show up between 0930-1130 or 1300-1430.

I think I'll wear my Boxing Day sales gear

Congrats on getting your landing date. Every local CIC office has it own quirks. Some get new SIN on landing, others don't. Others have specific times, others, first come first serve.

I agree 10000%!!! My friends and workmates try to muster some enthusiasm when I get excited about the date on the CIC moving up, the days when a lot of AIPs and DMs are received,etc....but it is truly comforting to be understood on here! lol

Congrats to every one who gotten good news
From CIC this week!! It's so great to come on here
and see pages of news!! I know what it feels like
to heard good news and I rejoice with all you guys!
I'm patiencly waiting my OWP, was received August 30 and CIC is currently working
on August 24. Nxt week should be a good week
I've done and sent in all the requested documents just waiting with
my fingers cross!!
Here's to a good celebratory week to those celebrating and good
luck to those of us still waiting for good news!!

This is excellent news. Congratulation's. Now you can all sleep just a little better at night. Its wonderful news. Hearing success is just as important to keep people motivated that good things can happen

Well, just want to let you guys know what happened to me this morning when I came back to Toronto from NY. Some background, I am waiting for my landing interview on Nov 4... and I went down to NY to visit my family before the interview. On the custom form, I filled as VISITOR and will be stay in Canada for -50 days (bc the waiting time to receive the card itself is about 6-8 wks).. Of course, I knew I will going for 2nd investigation. So I told the lady, I am here to visit my hubby and I have landing interview on Nov 4. I also know I can not stay over 6 months too. She checked the computer... and she asked me if I have return ticket.. I told her: well, I can not really leave the country until I receive the PR card itself. So I don't know how long will be. Usually it takes about 6-8 wks.. I was thinking once I have PR card, why I need to have return ticket!? kind of strange.. After few minutes, she stamped my passport and wish me good luck.

I noticed that the custom will send you to the 2nd investigation if you put more than 30 days as visitor. So just be warned.

I can not wait to get that PR card. I don't have to put VISITOR anymore... such pain...
