it seem like it's only me now who has this long timeline for inland 2012 applicants but haven't receive any update since my file was transfer to cic etobicoke? i am sponsoring my husband and it feels like it's really a long wait. i did tried calling the call center last june 24 and they said that cic etobicoke send them a message saying need a little time. what may be the reason why it's taking this long just for the initial assessment for the sponsor qualification? what are the cases that sponsor might not be approve? i am presently employed never on a welfare. i am still thinking positive with all this things.
You are not alone in that boat. There appears to be a couple of applicants that falls into same situation. One has a file transfer to vancouver before AIP, another had a fiel transfer after AIP to etobicoke and hasn't heard a word since. File transfers to local CIC before AIP usually means they want more vertifications before issuing any AIP status, including a possible interview. Some have gotten a file tranffer after AIP which I happen to find strange as usually when an AIP is issued, they are satisfied about sponsor's qualifications, applicant's qualification and relatiosnhip. So wheneverr someone mentioned a transfer after AIP before DM, then that preplex me as I don't see any reason for this. I have not seen that done since I joined the forum april 2013. Some people may be able to explain it more or better as they may have seen happen before.

I live in Alberta and my past Alberta health card expired back in February. With a pending OWP and inland app and proof of me living in Alberta be able to get it again?
My Alberta health card expired as well. When entering Alberta, you get 6 months of healthcare and then you can ask for an extension of 3 months. After that, unless you have extended your visitor visa, you have to wait for AIP. Alberta health doesn't recognize implied status as valid for receiving healthcare.

Wish that someone can share some light on the fact my file was transferred after AIP
I wish I could help you as you are my first in hearing about it since I joined the forum. If I can shed some light on it, I would share it first thing. Saddly I can't as I can't think of any reason. Just hope someone on the thread can give you insight.

Have you considered setting up a new thread with the question at hand on main menu so that someone else see your heading and may have an answer for you.

To be honest, I am even surprised that alberta health care would even grant coverage to temporary visitors to begin with. Didn't even know that alberta extend coverage to canadian's dependents. Here in ontario, everyone must have their own card. No extending coverage to dependents. Got dependents, put them on their own card. Not canadian, not PR, not AIP approved? Too bad, we won't cover you despite you are a dependent of a canadian/PR.

I guess I'll have to wait then. My visitor extension ran out just about a week ago and I didn't extend it again.. Since I figured a pending OWP would give me implied status?

Here in Alberta they give you your own card. It just has an expiration in the system. When I get AIP, my current card number will just be reactivated. When we first got it, we just had to bring in our marriage certificate to prove we were actually married.
