By the way, the letter from CIC, a visitor visa, work permit and so on, is usually put in a brown envelope. But the PR card was sent with a white envelope. So, when I found it in the mail box, I didn't expect that it was from CIC. ;D

I got a call from a number that said NO CALLER ID. I almost didn't answer it and then remembered other people on this forum saying CIC would call from an unknown number. I was pleasantly surprised to find out it was CIC contacting me already because of the goof up with my file being left in Vegreville. The lady on the phone was quite pleasant and said they want to get me landed as soon as possible and actually asked if I could come on this coming Wednesday. That wasn't enough time for my husband to get off work, so she kindly scheduled me for FEBRUARY 12th!

I am landing on FEBRUARY 12th in Calgary! Whooohooo!

After a long process dealing with the lost PR card, finally, I've got it on Jan 27, 2014. Phew, now the wait is officially over. I wish everybody the best of luck!

I just like to ask when is the right time to pay for the RPRF?

I haven't paid mine and the 2nd stage of my application is being process ...

Should I pay it now? or should I wait for cic to request it from me?

If I pay it through a financial institution where would I send the receipt? My file is now at Edmonton office. is that where I'm going to send it?
