Inform IRCC if travel during citizenship application?

Hi,

I applied for citizenship last year. I traveled to my home country last month. Is there a need to inform IRCC about this travel through webform?

no need to inform them, you are free to leave once you submit your application. It is mentioned on the website as well.
I was gone for more than a year while my application was in process, never informed CIC. However, I was invited to take the test while I was abroad, informed CIC about the same right away, they allowed to take the test from outside of Canada.
