in process,how long can be in process?

Hello everybody, on E-CAS site, we had an update on march 13. They said: in process, and: we started processing your application on march 9. How long can take to know the decision? It's a family spouse sponsorship in Manila visa office. thanks.

I've heared Manila Office its quite fast, if they started processing your file the passport request will show up soon.

The visa office have already the passport in their hands since many months. I hope we can have the decision before the end of this month.

I believe you may be setting your timeline a bit high to expect by end of March. That would be about 2 weeks to complete all checks necessary.

If they are able to do this at Manila it is extraordinary. The processing time listed as an average on the cic.gc.ca website for Manila is 9 months - that's from the time the application is reviewed from completeness which is when you saw the in process date listed on e-cas.

It is probably best to allow several weeks to pass for an answer if quicker all the better, but perhaps less disappointing if allowing more time.

hi NBaker, our application was received at the VO in Manila on december 15,2010. Currently 15 months. The VO had never updated ECAS since july 2011,but last week they update and wrote: in process, we started processing your application on march 9. On january 11,2012. My wife was at the interview and they said to her: we will make a decision in few days. But the week after, on january 18. The VO called me(the husband and the sponsor)by phone to ask me few questions.(a call phone from Manila to Canada) and they told me the same: we will make a decision in few days. On february 14, i sent an email to ask why they said few days and one month later,nothing. Also, i asked why ECAS is not updated and if they will do. I received an email on february 16 and they said: your application is queued for review by the officer. That's why i think it will not be long to know the decision. I expect 3-4 weeks maybe. Thanks.

Hello, my wife received a letter and request for the medical exam report today(march 27). It's a very good news for us. I think the visa will follow.

Plss help,,This is what my ecas is showing after my hubby;s interview, is it a good sign that my husband will get visa or not??? pls see below:

Hi Hourra, he is in thailand and his vo was singapore, and he did his medical test since last year january and has never done any again till now..thanks for d info, it will help
